Assignment 12 : Autobiography - The history of my travel

.............
.............
.....Travelling is a religion for me. I feel happy and peaceful when I am travelling even though sometimes it is hard and difficult. I planned my first trip abroad when I was a university student and it took about 2 years. I flew to London in February 1994 and backpacked across Europe for 7 months. In 1995, I joined Asiana Airlines. The year I joined Asiana Airlines, I took a trip to Bangkok and Hong Kong. Two years later, Jung In and I travelled to Australia. This was my first trip with a friend. I travelled to Scotland the same year for two weeks as well. A year later, I married and went to Turkey and Greece with my husband. After that, for two years, I stopped travelling because I was pregnant and gave birth. I planned a trip again when my daughter was 1 year old, and I visited Hamburg and Paris with my husband and daughter. That was my first trip with my daughter. I usually travelled alone when I was single, but since my daughter was born, I have taken most of trips with my daughter. We visited Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, China, Thailand and France together. My dream is to take a round-the-world trip with my family. It has been said that a journey of a thousand miles begins with only one step. I believe my dream will come true............

Assignment 11 : Roasted chicken with curry

.............
...................
.....Here is a way to cook delicious roasted chicken with curry. First, prepare a whole chicken, 2 cups of curry powder, a lemon, 2 onions, some garlic, some salt and pepper. Make a lemon marinade with a lemon, salt and pepper and rub it into the chicken so that it goes right to the bone. Then set it aside for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, mix the curry powder with some water and stir it until it is dissolved. Next, put the chicken into a large bowl and rub the curry paste over the chicken. Wrap the chicken and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Preheat the oven 200 ºC. Then, rub some butter over the chicken and wrap the end of the chicken’s legs with aluminum foil to prevent them from burning. Finally, place the chicken in the oven and cook for 30 minutes. Serve with grilled garlic and onions. Roasted chicken is less greasy and better tasting than fried chicken. In addition, curry gives an excellent flavor to the chicken. It will make your mouth water before you even take a bite.

Assignment 10 : My hometown, Gwangju

....................
...................
.....I am from Gwangju, the sixth largest city in South Korea. Gwang means “light” and Ju means “province.” Gwangju is a historical city in Korea. It was one of the administrative centers of Baekje during the Three Kingdoms Age. This historical city’s history can be seen at the Gwangju National Museum. Gwangju National Museum shows the ancient Mahan and Baekje culture and the Buddhist civilization from the Three Kingdoms Age. Gwangju is also called "the shrine of Korean democracy," because in May 1980, civil demonstrations took place in Gwangju against the newly installed military government of Chun Doo-hwan. Gwangju is also famous for seedless watermelons which are grown near Moodeung Mountain in the eastern part of the city. They are very sweet and delicious. I like my hometown and hope I can visit there again in the near future.

Assignment 8 : My own character

....................
..................
.....I am a very energetic and positive person. For example, I usually do not stay at home on my days off. I prefer to go out and walk around rather than spend time at home. I also like to arrange small parties with my family or friends and I feel happy when I am with them. I always try to think positively as well. I believe crisis can be turned into opportunity. Even though a totally new job I have been, I welcome the challenge to do something outside of comfort zone. When I face with a bad result from my work, of course I am disappointed and feel unhappy but I can switch my negative feeling to good one as rapidly as I switch channels on the TV. Indeed, I see a life as a game to play and enjoy.
